Next Generation Scooters

The Lambretta:
  The Lambretta made its debut at the 1947 Paris Motor Show.  the Lambretta was highly economical getting better than 160 mpg. With a 123cc engine and achieving a maximum speed of 45 mph, the new scooter was highly successful.  The Lambretta was produced by Innocenti, in collaboration with Pierluigi Torre.

Kymco Motorscooter:
  Produced in Japan, Taiwan. The Kymco has several features that distinguish it from the more inexpensive Chinese scooters. It has 16 inch wheels which make it far more suitable for highway driving than the 12-13 inch wheels of the less expensive brands. At 152cc, the engine displacement is slightly larger than the Chinese 150s which tend to be 149cc. Dual shocks on the rear also set it apart. Available in wine, white, silver, and vintage green.

Scooters in America:
 Following Cushman in the 1950s, many manufacturers all over the world have come out with fascinating designs for the American market. The Italian scooters Vespa, Lambretta, Benelli, Piaggio, Gilera, and Malaguti followed a grand tradition but were later joined by China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Spain, England, and Germany who produced such scooters as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kymco, Phantom, Aprilia, Roketa, Peugeot,Tank, Bandit, and many more.
